Cash Position Pages Owners Actually Read
A practical layout for cash, receivables aging, and near-term obligations on a single page for service-company founders.
Founders of agencies, contractors, and hospitality businesses rarely need a full treasury dashboard. They need to see whether next month’s payroll and supplier bills fit the cash already in the accounts plus receivables likely to clear.
A readable cash page usually carries three bands: bank and petty cash balances as of close, receivables aging buckets that match how you collect, and a short list of committed outflows for the next thirty days. Anything beyond that belongs in an appendix.
Avoid decorating the page with forecast curves that have no owner. If a projection is included, label the assumption—average collection days from the last quarter, not hope.
In Bangkok service firms we work with, the cash page earns its keep when it arrives before the owners’ call, printed or as a single PDF, with the same column order every month.
